YOUR CLIENT FLOW SCORECARD
Six checkpoints. One useful next step.
Use your own evidence to assess how a client moves from first interest to delivery. This is a directional self-check, not a formal audit or a validated diagnostic instrument.
Your resource is available here immediately. Bookmark this page, or use your browser’s Print option to keep a paper copy or save a PDF.
Start with evidence, not guesswork.
Rate each checkpoint: 0 = dependable; 1 = occasional friction; 2 = recurring gaps; 3 = unreliable or absent. Use N/A when it does not apply. Record a recent example beside each rating.
01 / Visibility
Can the intended client understand what you do and why it matters?
Your rating: 0 / 1 / 2 / 3 / N/A
02 / Inquiry
Is it clear and easy to ask a useful question or request a conversation?
Your rating: 0 / 1 / 2 / 3 / N/A
03 / Follow-up
Does every inquiry have an owner and a next action?
Your rating: 0 / 1 / 2 / 3 / N/A
04 / Intake
Do you collect enough information before quoting or starting work?
Your rating: 0 / 1 / 2 / 3 / N/A
05 / Handoff
Does the next person receive the information needed to act?
Your rating: 0 / 1 / 2 / 3 / N/A
06 / Delivery
Can you repeat the work without relying on memory?
Your rating: 0 / 1 / 2 / 3 / N/A
Choose the smallest useful improvement.
Your highest rating is a prompt to investigate, not a diagnosis. When areas tie, use impact, urgency and evidence to choose a starting point. When every assessed area is dependable, keep monitoring rather than inventing a project. When all answers are N/A, gather more evidence before choosing work.
Visibility: Clarify one service page around the buyer, problem, outcome and next step.
Inquiry: Reduce the first inquiry to the information needed to respond and qualify.
Follow-up: Assign an owner, acknowledgement and dated next step. Test delivery before automating more.
Intake: Define the scope questions, required inputs and assumptions before requesting a supplier quote.
Handoff: Create a checklist with a clear recipient, input and completion condition.
Delivery: Document a repeatable delivery checklist, review point and exception owner.
Your seven-day action map
Days 1–2: Observe one recurring example and write the desired process in plain language. Remove an unnecessary step before adding a tool.
Days 3–5: Test a small change. Keep a human review point and decide how errors or exceptions will be handled.
Days 6–7: Compare the before and after. Record whether the issue happened less often, took less time or required fewer clarifying messages.
Write down your issue, first change, owner, review date and one before-and-after measure.
